the Odyssee
On the threshold of Fashion and Art. The Rio brand created by designer Fernanda Nicolini was born from the desire to present a new aesthetic to the market with products developed through the upcycling of electronic waste and communication built in a differentiated way. Make fashion with meaning.
Contrary to the volume of the industry, Odyssee offers pieces that rescue manual techniques for building accessories and raises awareness of a new consumer behavior through unique pieces and collections with limited print runs.
Through projects for collecting obsolete raw materials, mining and donations; wires, plugs, circuit boards, cables and flat cables become
wearable art full of meaning.
The brand, created in 2015, walks and talks directly with the experimental in art, design, fashion, environmentalism...always with responsibility and has been standing out in the scenario of new slow creators: it won the Rio VIES Fashion 2016 Award in the Sustainability axis Environmental; brand selected in 2016 for the Sustainable Design and Fashion Show at Paraty EcoFestival, it also received invitations to join the group of brands at the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin in 2017 and 2018. It has been facilitating workshops and lectures on upcycling and redesign applied to fashion with institutions and movements such as Fashion Revolution, Oi Futuro, Sesc SP, Esdi Rj, Veste Rio, Projeto Gaveta and Veiga de Almeida University, IED Rio, Polo de Pensamento Contemporâneo (RJ). In 2018, it co-organized as a local partner the 1st Mapping Session Rio de Janeiro promoted by Circular Economy Club (UK) in partnership with Exchange 4Change Brasil.
Through authorial language and the development of accessories, Odyssee walks through the universe of contemporary art and performance with exhibitions, shows and installations, combining mobgraphic work with various artistic expressions in spaces such as EAV Parque Lage, Fabrica Bhering, Goma, IED Rio and OI Futuro .
Developed with affection and care for everyone who identifies with a new way of thinking, dressing and building the future through the reuse, freedom and conscience.
Be unique. Be you. Be Odyssee.
